Ingredients for Homemade Limoncello Cream (Limoncino):

  • 10 lemons (Large, untreated)
  • 2 1/8 cups pure alcohol
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Steps

The preparation of homemade Limoncello Cream (Limoncino) is very simple, remember that we have to wait 6 days to macerate the lemon peels with the alcohol, watch the video HERE.

  • First, we need to wash the lemon peels very well (I used a brush), dry them, and then remove the thinnest possible peel (I used a potato peeler). Place the peels obtained in a container. Add the alcohol.

  • Close and wait for 6 days, shaking the container once a day. After 6 days, place the sugar, milk, and cream in a saucepan and bring to a near boil.

  • Turn off the heat and let it cool well. Once cooled, strain the alcohol and add it. Mix and pour the limoncello cream into previously sterilized glass bottles.

  • Place them in the freezer and wait about two weeks before consuming.
