Ground Meat Skewers

The ground meat skewers are a tasty and easy-to-prepare main course. A different way to serve ground meat, aside from the classic burger, in this case, I used veal. The first time I saw this recipe was at my trusted butcher, so I finally decided to offer it to you. Just grind the meat and add all the other ingredients in the bowl to form small sausages wrapped around the skewer. Great on their own, but also with a side of vegetables or French fries.

Steps

To prepare the ground meat skewers…

  • Take the veal slices and put them in the food processor with blades and operate it until the meat is finely ground. Alternatively, you can also use a meat grinder or chopper.

  • Transfer the minced veal into a bowl, add the salt, pepper, grated Grana Padano cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, egg, and breadcrumbs.

  • Mix everything well with a fork or your hands and form 5 sausages weighing about 3.5 oz each.

  • Then, take the wooden skewer, place it in the center of a sausage, and gently press it with your hands so that the skewer ends up in the center of the meat. Continue with the other pieces.

  • Place the skewers on the baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush the skewers with extra virgin olive oil.

  • Bake the skewers in a preheated oven at 356 degrees Fahrenheit and cook them for 10/15 minutes in a ventilated mode.

  • Serve the ground meat skewers with the side dish and/or sauce of your choice.
