The apple blondies are desserts of American origin, the lighter version of the more famous brownies, made even richer and more delicious by an apple and cinnamon filling, a winning combination. The recipe is not the lightest, but we can indulge in an extra treat every now and then! The preparation of these blondies is very simple and their taste will win you over.

Start the preparation of the apple blondies by washing and peeling the fruit. Remove the core and cut the apples into small cubes. Soften them in a pan with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Set aside in a bowl (they need to cool slightly).
While the apples cool, mix the butter with the electric mixer until it becomes creamy.
Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and mix again with the mixer until the ingredients are perfectly combined. Continue with the vanilla extract and the eggs (one at a time).
In a smaller bowl, place the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix with a spoon or spatula.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones in several additions.
You should obtain a smooth and fairly firm dough without flour lumps.
Transfer half of the dough into a 8-inch square pan. Also, add the apple filling, distributing it well.
Cover with the other half of the dough and bake in a preheated static oven at 392°F for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the dessert from the oven and let it cool completely.
Cut the apple blondies into squares (I made nine) and enjoy them immediately!

4-5 days in the fridge in an airtight container or 2-3 days under a glass dome.
I do not recommend freezing them. Can I change the spices?
Of course, you can customize the dessert according to your tastes; for a fresher result, you can use ginger instead of cinnamon.
I need to prepare them for a special occasion, how can I enrich them?
You can cover them with melted chocolate (preferably white) or prepare a maple syrup glaze with 2 tablespoons of butter, 80g of maple syrup, 50g of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
