Phyllo Dough Cones with cheese, super easy and quick, very similar to savory pastries made with puff pastry. If you like phyllo dough, I also recommend trying the savory pie with phyllo dough and the phyllo dough rolls with potatoes. Phyllo dough cones are an ultra-fast appetizer, a reinterpretation of the classic recipe which unfortunately requires a longer and more complex preparation. Phyllo dough can be found in supermarkets in the refrigerated section alongside ready-made doughs like brisé and pizza. It is known for its lightness and crunchiness, and can be filled with savory or sweet creams or ricotta. Additionally, it only requires a few minutes of baking either in the oven or an air fryer.

Ingredients
- 10.5 oz phyllo dough
- 6 tbsp butter (melted)
- 2.1 oz scamorza cheese
How to Make Phyllo Dough Pastries
On the work surface, place the first sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter.
Add the second sheet and brush again with butter, continue this way until all 6 sheets of phyllo dough are used up
Once you have a nice roll, cover and let rest in the freezer for 30 minutes.
After the resting time, take the roll and gently cut slices about 0.6/0.8 inches thick. Take each slice and press with your hands from the center outward to create a cavity.
Stuff with a small piece of cheese, trying to create a well-closed cone. If you see any layers separating, press with your thumb from the inside so that the whole surface is nicely united.
Place all the pastries on a baking sheet and bake at 356°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Storage and Variations of Phyllo Dough Cones
They can be stored in the refrigerator until the next day, well covered with plastic wrap. You can also fill them with ricotta and Parmesan or a dice of sautéed vegetables.
