The eggplants, sliced like an accordion, are filled with ground beef and then baked, acquiring a soft texture and intense flavor. Baking is ideal for enhancing the quality of the ingredients, making the dish lighter and healthier. However, for those who prefer to avoid oven heat during the hotter months, the pan version is a great alternative, maintaining the dish’s taste.
This dish can be enriched by adding other ingredients like melting cheeses and cured meats, creating an even more indulgent and complete meal.
