Procedure
Clean the fennel and slice it thinly, using the mandoline. Wash the orange, dry it and grate the zest. Cut it in half and squeeze the juice. Peel and slice the spring onion. Place the vegetables in the jar, add the salmon fillets and season with orange zest and juice, chives, salt, pepper, and oil.
Clean the edge of the jar, close and clamp it. Shake the closed jar to mix the seasoning. Place the jar of salmon with fennel in the microwave and start cooking for 10 minutes at your tested power, I use 600 watts.
At the end of the cooking process, let the closed jar rest for at least 20 minutes. In this way, the salmon and fennel recipe in jar cooking will continue to cook at a low temperature and a vacuum will form in the jar allowing you to store it for 15 days.

Questions about the jar cooking recipe
Can I use fresh salmon fillets?
To prevent the salmon fillets from becoming dry and stringy, I recommend using them while still frozen. If you can’t freeze them, cook for 8 minutes instead of 10, and make sure to store for 1 week instead of 15 days.
