Lemon sgroppino is a great end of meal or to intersperse different dishes during an important meal. It is generally served to “cleanse” the palate after a fish-based meal. Great for festive days, served as a digestif. Its creaminess, combined with the alcoholic touch and the freshness of lemon, will be appreciated by all. To make sgroppino you need a simple blender, lemon sorbet, prosecco and/or vodka. Pour it into glasses, strictly glass or crystal, in flûte style and delight everyone! Sgroppino originates from Veneto and is commonly called sgropin.
Sgroppino is a liquid and alcoholic sorbet made with citrus ice cream, prosecco and, to taste, it can be made more alcoholic with a touch of vodka.

Tips and variations for sgroppino
Lemon sgroppino should be consumed immediately after preparation. Enrich the glass with a pretty straw, mint leaves, and thin slices of lemon or the fruit you’ve chosen to make the citrus sorbet.
Orange Sgroppino
Replace the lemon sorbet with 300 g of orange sorbet.
Mandarin Sgropin
Instead of lemon sorbet, you can use the same weight of mandarin sorbet.
Non-alcoholic lemon sgroppino
If you have children or teetotal friends, you can make sgroppino by replacing prosecco with coconut milk and lemon zest.
