How to Make St. Stephen’s Soup in Jar Cooking

  • Wash the leafy vegetables: Swiss chard, savoy cabbage, and black cabbage, cut them into regular pieces, and distribute them in the bowl, add half of the broth.

    Seal the bowl well with the plastic wrap and place it in the microwave. Wilt the vegetables in the microwave for 6 minutes at 800 watts.

    During this step, you will see the plastic wrap inflate like a balloon.
     

    Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes, peel and chop the carrot, peel and slice the onion, divide the washed cauliflower into small florets, and dice the celery.

    Remove the plastic wrap from the bowl, add the rest of the vegetables and mix well.

    At the end of cooking, carefully remove the jar from the microwave and let it rest closed for at least 2 hours. During this time, the soup will continue to cook at low temperature, and a vacuum will form in the jar.
