There are many versions of brownies: the most famous are naturally the classic dark chocolate ones, then there are those with white chocolate, with fruit, peanut butter, nuts… I could practically go on forever! I propose matcha tea brownies, the Japanese powdered green tea with its distinctive bright green color. Matcha tea has 137 times the antioxidant quantity of regular green tea, it’s rich in vitamins, stimulates attention and concentration, and it’s a powerful ally for our digestion.

Preparation of matcha tea brownies
Preparing matcha tea brownies is really easy and quick.
Start by mixing all-purpose flour, powdered matcha tea, and the teaspoon of baking powder in a bowl.
Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave and let it cool slightly.
In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is fluffy and foamy.
Once the melted butter has cooled, add it to the liquids and continue to mix.
Continue preparing the brownies by starting to add the powders to the mixture a couple of tablespoons at a time.
Only after finishing incorporating the flour, add the previously chopped white chocolate (alternatively, you can use ready-made chocolate chips).
Spread the mixture in a rectangular or square baking pan (mine measures 11.5×9.8 inches) and bake the matcha tea brownies in a preheated static oven at 320°F for 30 minutes.
