Ingredients for Bresaola Swirls

  • 7.75 oz bresaola (in slices)
  • 5.5 oz mozzarella
  • 4 leaves basil (fresh)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper (freshly ground)
  • a few extra virgin olive oil (to use before serving)

Preparation of Bresaola Swirls

  • Start by draining the mozzarella, then chop it finely and place it in a bowl, add the torn basil, salt, pepper, and mix with two spoons, set aside.

  • Arrange the bresaola slices on a sheet of parchment paper slightly overlapping each other to form a bresaola rectangle.

  • Spread the seasoned mozzarella over the bresaola evenly.

  • Start rolling from the short side until you form a roll, close with the parchment paper to form a candy shape, then wrap with plastic wrap, tightening it well, place the bresaola roll in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

  • After resting in the fridge, remove the roll, remove plastic wrap and parchment paper, and with a sharp knife, cut into swirls, arrange them on a serving dish, drizzle with a bit of oil and serve, they are ready to enjoy!

Tips

You can add chopped capers or chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the filling!
