Homemade Mint Iced Tea

Just a few ingredients, a few fresh mint leaves and some tea to get a light and thirst-quenching drink, perfect to serve with ice during an afternoon break or a garden aperitif.

Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 3 bags tea (green)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
- 1 bunch fresh mint (about 15 leaves)

Steps
In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil, then turn off the heat.
Add 3 bags of green tea and the leaves of a bunch of fresh mint that have been previously washed.
Cover with a lid and let it steep for 10 minutes to allow the aromas to release fully.
After this time, remove the tea bags and mint. Add 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved. This step is optional. The sugar can be omitted or replaced with another sweetener of your choice.
Let the tea cool at room temperature, then transfer it to a glass pitcher or bottles and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
