Preparation of Stuffed Mozzarella, Easy and Tasty Appetizer!
Drain the mozzarella well from its liquid, place it on the plate you will serve it on, and with a sharp knife and the help of a spoon, remove the center to create a mozzarella “bowl.”
Finely chop the mozzarella center and place it in a bowl, add the finely chopped capers and basil, quartered cherry tomatoes, oil, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Fill the mozzarella with the prepared filling (if it doesn’t all fit in the hollow part, serve it separately on a small plate or bowl), gently cover with plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge for 30 minutes (or more if you prefer), then serve and enjoy. If necessary, add a drizzle of oil on top, and enjoy your meal!
Variations
If you like, you can add 3 finely chopped anchovies in oil to the stuffed mozzarella filling.
You can replace the capers with green olives.
