Cake with Jam

Cake with Jam, a soft and light cake. Quick to make, it is prepared in 5 minutes without needing to whisk anything; just pour all the ingredients into a bowl and mix everything with a simple spoon, no electric mixers needed… it only takes 5 minutes and it’s ready to go in the oven. The peculiarity of this cake is that before baking, spoonfuls of jam are added to the batter.
The result will be a soft and delicious cake.

Ingredients

LET’S SEE TOGETHER WHAT WE NEED TO PREPARE

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (or butter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Let’s start preparing

  • Let’s start preparing the Cake with Jam. Pour the flour, sugar, and baking powder into a bowl and mix everything with a spoon or hand whisk. Add the eggs and vegetable oil and continue to mix. Now add the milk and keep mixing with the spoon until you obtain a well-mixed batter with no lumps.

  • Pour the mixture into the rectangular pan lined with parchment paper, and distribute spoonfuls of jam on the surface. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes, always do the toothpick test before removing the cake from the oven.
    Once cooked, remove the cake with jam from the oven and let it cool in the pan before removing it.
