Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup flour (the one you usually use)
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tbsps butter
  • 2/5 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • sliced almonds
  • 2 oz dark chocolate

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add the baking powder, sugar, pieces of butter, and the egg, knead well.

  • Chop the chocolate into small pieces, also chop the almonds.

  • Roll the pastry out on a floured surface and cut it with a 2 3/4 inch glass or cutter.

  • Fill each disc with almonds and chocolate, fold in half, seal the edges, brush with milk or beaten egg white and add sliced almonds.

  • Place them on the oven tray lined with paper and bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
