Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 5 packets fresh yeast
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • food coloring
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • colored sprinkles

Steps

  • Prepare the dough for about 15 small donuts of 2.5 inches or 6-7 larger donuts.

  • Pour some flour into the mixer bowl, add warm milk, start the machine, add butter, egg yolk, sugar, add the crumbled yeast, the remaining flour, and pour it into the bowl.

  • Knead until all ingredients are combined, the dough should not be too sticky; if it is, add a little flour.

  • Cover with plastic wrap and a cloth, and let it rise until doubled, about an hour.

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a height of 4-5 mm, cut with a glass, and make a hole in the center with a plastic bottle cap.

  • Cover and let rise for 45 minutes.

  • Prepare the glaze: melt the butter, add water and powdered sugar with vanillin, mix until a cream forms and let cool completely.

  • Divide the glaze into different plates depending on the colors you plan to prepare, then add the food coloring.

  • The more color you add, the stronger and more vibrant the glaze will be. If too liquid, add powdered sugar; it should be sticky.

  • Fry the donuts, let them dry on absorbent paper, and let cool.

  • Apply the glaze and decorate with sprinkles. If you want, leave some white glaze and make decorations with a small nozzle syringe.

  • With the Thermomix: Insert all ingredients, knead for 3 minutes.

  • For the glaze with the Thermomix: Insert all ingredients, 80°F, speed 1 for 4 minutes.
