How to prepare the Pear and Chocolate Strudel in Air Fryer
Start by toasting the pine nuts; you can do it in the air fryer at 392°F for 2 minutes or in a pan on low heat until they are golden. In the meantime, soak the raisins in a glass or bowl with lukewarm water for 10 minutes
If you decide to do them in the air fryer, use the air fry program
After washing the pears, peel them, remove the core, dice them, and place them in a non-stick baking pan with the sugar. Mix well
Caramelize the pears in air fryer at 356°F for 5 minutes or in a pan, stirring a couple of times
Once ready, add the pine nuts, well-drained raisins to the pears and mix with a wooden spoon
Add the crumbled amaretti and the chocolate chips, mixing again.
Melt the butter in a small pan and toast the breadcrumbs, stirring continuously
Open the roll of puff pastry and prick the base with a fork
Spread the toasted breadcrumbs over the pastry base, keeping a little aside. Pour the pear filling, leaving some space at the edges, and distribute the breadcrumbs you kept aside
Close the 4 sides to prevent the filling from spilling out during cooking and then fold the pastry over itself to form the strudel. Seal with your hands by pressing gently. Preheat the air fryer to 338°F, bake or Air Fry program
Transfer the strudel onto the tray or grill of the air fryer and bake at 338°F for 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden
Once cooked, remove the strudel from the air fryer and let it cool completely
Dust the Pear and Chocolate Strudel with plenty of powdered sugar, cut it into slices, and serve it
