The Nutella Puff Pastry Crown in Air Fryer is a quick and delicious dessert to prepare with just 2 ingredients, perfect for when you have little time but still want to make something tasty and fancy for a snack or after a meal.

The Nutella Puff Pastry Crown, besides being very tasty, is also eye-catching and can be a last-minute invitation idea that will surely impress your guests. Moreover, you can never go wrong with Nutella! If you like the idea, you can make it in a savory version Puff Pastry Crown in Air Fryer

As I mentioned, to prepare the Nutella Puff Pastry Crown, you need very few minutes and even fewer ingredients: a rectangular puff pastry roll and Nutella. Just spread the cream on the pastry, roll it up, cut it in half, and braid it, but you will see this better in the steps section.

To achieve a soft and creamy filling that doesn’t dry out during cooking, we’ll place the crown in the freezer for half an hour. If you want to enrich it further like I did, add some dark chocolate chips on top, but it’s delicious even without.

Let’s see how to prepare the Nutella Puff Pastry Crown in Air Fryer, with instructions for oven baking as well.

Steps

  • Unroll the pastry and spread Nutella with the help of a spatula or the back of a spoon, leaving a border of about 0.39 inches

  • Roll the pastry from the long side, helping yourself with the parchment paper, and while rolling, gently squeeze

  • Close it completely and apply a light pressure with your hands to seal it well

  • Unroll it leaving it on the parchment paper

  • Now cut the obtained roll in half and turn the cut sides up

  • Overlap the two rolls

  • And braid them together

  • You need to form a braid like this

  • Slightly wet the two ends with a bit of water to make them stick well and join them, giving it a circular shape.

  • Lightly brush the surface with water and sprinkle it with chocolate chips (optional). Now, that you’ve shaped the crown, you can put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. After the resting time, remove the parchment paper to proceed with cooking

  • Transfer to the air fryer, after preheating for 2/3 minutes, directly on the rack or if you have an oven-style air fryer on the tray. Cook at 356°F for 17 minutes or until the surface is golden
