Gratinated Gnocchetti in Air Fryer

The Gratinated Gnocchetti in Air Fryer, besides being quick and easy to prepare, are delicious and very tasty. Like the Tagliatelle Nests in Air Fryer, they do not need to be boiled: just immerse them in their previously cooked tomato sauce and they are ready in a few minutes! Gratinated on the surface and with melting cheese, they will win you over at the first bite.

For this recipe, I used the colorful potato gnocchetti, which you can find in any supermarket, and Toma, a semi-hard Piedmontese cheese with an intense flavor. If you don’t have it in your fridge, you can substitute it with another semi-hard cheese that can melt during cooking, Fontina could be a good alternative. I cooked the sauce in my Air Fryer which is also a multicooker, but you can cook it traditionally for about 15 minutes, add the gnocchetti to the sauce, and pass them in the air fryer. For the tomato sauce, I used datterino, one of my favorites and present in almost all my recipes that require a good sauce, Piccadilly is also excellent.

If you want to prepare something quick and not very time-consuming, Gnocchi alla Romana in Air Fryer and Gnocchi di Polenta in Air Fryer are perfect too, they are made with few ingredients and are easy to make. But now let’s prepare the Gratinated Gnocchetti in Air Fryer

How to prepare Gnocchetti in Air Fryer

  • Preparing the sauce for the gnocchetti is very simple: pour the passata into a pan, salt to taste, add the basil leaves, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and let it simmer for about 15/20 minutes on low heat

  • Pour the sauce directly into the baking dish where you will cook the gnocchetti. Salt, add the basil leaves, and a drizzle of olive oil

  • Insert the baking dish into the Ninja Combi and start the Slow Cook program, lowering the temperature to LO for 15 minutes

  • The sauce is ready

  • It only remains to add the gnocchetti

  • Mix the gnocchi with the sauce and add the 3 tablespoons of grated Grana Padano

  • Mix well

  • Put the baking dish in the air fryer and cook at 340°F for 8 minutes

  • Remove the baking dish, add the diced Toma, mix well, and sprinkle the surface of the gnocchi with a tablespoon of Grana and breadcrumbs. Drizzle with olive oil. Insert the baking dish back into the air fryer and cook at 375°F for 5 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and the surface is golden

  • The gnocchetti are ready, serve them hot and gooey 😋😋
