Tagliatelle Nests in Air Fryer

Tagliatelle Nests in Air Fryer is an unusual first course, a reinterpretation of the classic lasagna prepared with dry pasta that is not boiled, but cooked in its cooking sauce directly in the air fryer or oven: a delicious and rich dish, with a delightful and crispy crust on the surface.

To prepare Tagliatelle Nests in Air Fryer, you’ll need to cook a meat ragù, bechamel, a fairly thin tomato sauce to help cook the pasta and make it soft, all completed with pieces of provola and a nice sprinkle of pecorino to give a more decisive flavor. If you want to prepare original and different first courses, I also recommend Lasagne di Carasau with ragù in Air Fryer, or if you want to prepare something faster, Rose of Lasagna in Air Fryer is the perfect dish.

At the end of the recipe in the “variations”, you will find the instructions for cooking in a traditional oven

Steps

How to prepare Tagliatelle Nests in Air Fryer

  • For the preparation of the ragù and bechamel, follow the recipe for Lasagne di Carasau with ragù in Air Fryer, in this recipe I made a fresh soffritto, you can decide whether you want to prepare it yourself or use the frozen one as per the ingredients for the preparation of the ragù for the tagliatelle nests

  • Ragù ready

  • Bechamel

  • In a pot, sauté the garlic with a drizzle of olive oil, then add the puree, salt, and cook for 15-20 minutes, keeping it fairly thin

  • In a baking tray, pour 3/4 of the tomato sauce mixed with a spoonful of bechamel and place the nests on top.

  • In the center of each nest, insert the ragù, gently pushing without breaking them. Pour the remaining sauce trying to soak the tagliatelle as much as possible.

  • Add diced provola and part of the grated pecorino

  • Cover with the bechamel and the remaining pecorino

  • Place the tray in the air fryer and cook at 320°F for 15 minutes, increase to 356°F and continue for another 5 minutes
