Want a side dish different from the classic roasted potatoes?! Here are Sandy Potatoes in the Air Fryer, an easy and quick side dish, ideal for accompanying meat and fish main courses. Soft inside and crispy outside.
The recipe I propose for sandy potatoes in the air fryer does not require soaking in water, just wash, peel, cut into chunks, and mix with spices and breadcrumbs. In this case, I chose thyme and pepper, but you can add or replace them with your favorite spices, and if you prefer a spicy note, also paprika.
You can make many dishes with potatoes, from starters to sides. For example, I love Pasta and Potatoes or for a delicious side dish, Cardoncelli Mushrooms and Potatoes in the Air Fryer.

Steps
After washing, peeling, and rinsing the potatoes under running water, dry them with paper towels and cut them into chunks. Transfer them to a bowl and mix with the 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Add the spices, pepper, and breadcrumbs, but not the salt, we will add it after cooking
Mix well, making sure the coating sticks to the potatoes as much as possible
Place the potatoes on the tray or grill of your air fryer and cook at 392°F for 13 minutes. Shake them a couple of times during cooking to ensure even cooking
Check that the inside is soft and fully cooked and that the surface is nicely golden, otherwise continue for a few more minutes
Now you can salt them and serve hot
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can I use parchment paper on the grill to cook the potatoes?
I do not recommend parchment paper; it would be better to place the potatoes directly on the grill to allow air to circulate and cook evenly. Additionally, it could be dangerous if it flies up and sticks to the heating element
