The twisting of this sandwich bread slice captivated me for several minutes, inspiring me with countless preparations with countless fillings. But the idea was to make them an appetizer, perfect for parties, and I couldn’t help but choose salmon as the main ingredient.

Ingredients for 6 pieces of Salmon Toast Pinwheels: A Spectacular and Quick Appetizer
- 6 slices sandwich bread
- 6 slices smoked salmon
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- as needed mayonnaise (or Philadelphia)
- as needed parsley
Steps
The first thing to do for making the Salmon Toast Pinwheels: A Spectacular and Quick Appetizer is to shape the slices of sandwich bread, which will seem more difficult than it actually is.
First, flatten the slices of sandwich bread with a single pass of a rolling pin.
Cut with a knife starting from the corners, leaving the center intact, as shown in the picture.
Pick up the tip of each corner, tuck it under the next opening, and repeat the same step for all four sides.
At this point, bake them in the oven to make them crispy for about 10 minutes at 350°F. They should have a light golden color.
In the meantime, create the smoked salmon roses. First fold the salmon over itself and then roll it up.
When the sandwich bread pinwheels are ready, spread a layer of mayonnaise or Philadelphia, as desired.
Place the smoked salmon rose in the center, decorate as you like. I added some parsley leaves and a few pieces of cherry tomato for color and flavor.
Your Salmon Toast Pinwheels: A Spectacular and Quick Appetizer are ready, perfect for a beautiful table centerpiece or as a placeholder for each guest at lunch.
