No-knead Stuffed Rolls with Ham and Provola

The no-knead stuffed rolls are the perfect solution for those seeking a simple, quick, and guaranteed preparation. With only four ingredients — pizza dough, cooked ham, provola, and a delicate béchamel sauce — you’ll achieve tasty little treasures ideal for any occasion, from a snack to a quick lunch. Ingredients

  • 1 roll of pizza dough
  • 3.5 oz diced cooked ham
  • 4.2 oz diced provola
  • to taste béchamel sauce
  • to taste milk
  • to taste butter
  • to taste grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste oregano

Steps

  • To make the stuffed rolls, take a roll of pizza dough and divide it into 8 squares (making one vertical line and 3 horizontal lines).

    Meanwhile, prepare the rest of the ingredients: diced cooked ham, diced provola, and some béchamel sauce (you really need very little, a teaspoon for each roll).

    Fill the center of each square with some cubes of cooked ham and provola, and place a teaspoon of béchamel on top. Close by bringing all sides to the center and forming a round roll. Repeat the steps for all the other rolls.

  • At this point, line the air fryer basket with a parchment paper tray, ideal in this case to prevent the filling from spilling if something opens during cooking, I use these: parchment paper trays for air fryers. Place the 8 stuffed rolls on top and brush the surface with a few drops of milk to make them super soft.

    Cook in the air fryer at 350°F for 15 minutes, turning them when there are 3 minutes left to brown the underside.
    If you prefer traditional oven baking, bake the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper at 375°F for 25 minutes approximately.

  • Once cooked, brush over a tiny bit of butter, just enough to glaze the surface. Then for an even tastier flavor, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese and oregano on top.
    Wait a few minutes and serve. Enjoy your meal!

Tips for You

✔ You can also brush plant-based milk, they will be super soft in any case.

✔ Butter, grated Parmesan cheese, and oregano are optional ingredients: I added them to make them even tastier but they can easily be omitted.
