The banana and cocoa brownies are a quick, delicious snack with very few ingredients. Their texture is not like classic brownies: they melt in your mouth thanks to the presence of bananas. These are flourless brownies, therefore gluten-free, and also lactose-free.
The banana and cocoa brownie recipe can be prepared in 5 minutes, and then it’s just a matter of cooking time. You can choose to cook them in an air fryer, which will allow for very quick cooking, or in a classic oven by increasing the temperature and time. Below you will find both indications depending on your preferred cooking method. One thing is certain: once you try these brownies, you’ll always make them this way!

- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Affordable
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 4 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven, Air Fryer
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp sugar (or 2 tbsps erythritol)
- as needed spreadable cream* (optional)
Tools
- Air Fryer
- Pan
Steps
In a bowl, mash a banana into a pulp. Add an egg, the unsweetened cocoa powder, and sugar. Mix well until you have a smooth mixture.
For cooking, line a small 6×6 inch pan with parchment paper: this will make it much easier to remove.
Cook in the air fryer at 356°F for about 10 minutes. Or bake in a preheated oven at 374°F for about 20 minutes. Remove it and allow it to cool. Also, remove the parchment paper.
All that’s left is to divide it into 4 pieces. You can eat it like this, or if you’re as indulgent as me, you can add a spreadable cream on top. Enjoy!
Tips for You
✔ Instead of sugar, you can use erythritol (find the correct dosage above in the “ingredients”).
✔ You can use a regular baking dish or a ceramic dish like I did: ceramic baking dish.
✔ For this recipe, I used the COSORI 4.7 air fryer available on Amazon here.
