Banana Baked Oatmeal in Air Fryer

The banana baked oatmeal is the perfect breakfast for anyone looking for something healthy, delicious, and super quick. It almost resembles a banana cake, but with an even more soft and moist texture, similar to a baked porridge. It’s perfect for a nourishing and comforting snack or breakfast, ready in just a few minutes and without making a mess. All ingredients are mixed directly in the basket of the air fryer—no pans, no fuss—and in a few minutes you have a warm, satisfying, and naturally sweet breakfast thanks to the ripe banana. Ideal for those who love starting the day with something good and homemade, even when time is short.

And if you don’t have an air fryer, you can cook everything in the oven: below you’ll find the instructions for both versions.
A healthy and quick treat, perfect to enjoy in slices like a mini oat cake. 🍌✨

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 9 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 5.6 oz rolled oats
  • 1 1/4 cups milk or plant-based drink (I used coconut)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1.4 oz dark chocolate chips

Tools

  • Air Fryer

Steps

  • To make the Banana Baked Oatmeal recipe, simply place the ingredients directly into the air fryer basket after removing the grill: place the bananas, preferably ripe (you can mash them first in a plate if desired), the rolled oats, the cinnamon, the honey, the coconut oil, the egg, and the milk (I used coconut beverage) and mix everything. Once you have a soft mixture, add the chocolate chips on top.

  • Now cook directly in the air fryer at 338°F for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can bake it in a preheated oven, in this case place everything directly in a pan about 9 inches and bake at 356°F for about 40-45 minutes.
Once ready, let it cool for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing. And here’s a fabulous breakfast or snack, soft, moist, and sure to please everyone!

Tips for You

✔ You can use any drink you like: from regular milk to drinks like soy, coconut, almond, oat, etc. I personally used coconut, which was divine.

✔ You can also omit the chocolate chips, but in my opinion, they add that extra touch.

✔ As you can see, it cooks perfectly from underneath, being a banana porridge, so don’t worry if your air fryer has only one element because the one used in the recipe has only one.

✔ Make sure to remove the grill before adding the ingredients, otherwise, everything will drip underneath.

✔ For this recipe, I used the COSORI 4.7 Air Fryer which you can find on Amazon by clicking here.
