To make this recipe you won’t spend much time, it’s easy and quick, the only precaution is to let the Cupcake cool at room temperature after baking them. At least two hours so they don’t crumble when we decorate them with the Nutella Cream and the Ferrero Rocher.

Ingredients for 12 Cupcakes with Nutella and Ferrero Rocher
Keep in mind the time to soften the butter at room temperature, it should not be melted in a double boiler and should not be cold from the refrigerator.
- 8.5 tbsp butter (softened at room temperature)
- 1 cup flour
- 0.6 cup sugar
- 1 packet baking powder
- to taste lemon zest
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1 vial vanilla
- 12 tsp Nutella®
- 7 oz cream cheese (in my case Philadelphia)
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Nutella® (generous)
- 12 chocolates (in my case Ferrero Rocher)

Recipe Steps for Cupcake with Nutella and Ferrero Rocher
As mentioned if you want to serve the Cupcake with Nutella as a dessert at the end of the meal, remember to prepare them well in advance so as to let them cool completely. The Frosting with Nutella and Philadelphia can also be prepared at the moment, just before bringing our delicious dessert to the table.
Start the preparation by weighing the butter and letting it soften at room temperature. Grate the lemon zest after washing and drying it completely with kitchen paper. After leaving the butter for about ten minutes at room temperature, we can proceed with the preparation. Gather all the necessary tools for the recipe and place them in front of you on the work surface.
The first thing we need to do is preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit with the static mode. Take a bowl with high edges and start working the softened butter together with the sugar using the electric beaters to obtain a nice homogeneous foam. This step is crucial and will go well only if the butter is completely soft.
Then add the two room-temperature eggs, one at a time, allowing the mixture time to incorporate them. Now a pinch of salt, the vanilla vial or a packet of vanilla, and the grated lemon zest. As the last two ingredients, we will add the sifted flour and the packet of baking powder.
Place the paper liners for Muffins or Cupcakes in the 12-cup pan. Fill each liner just over halfway. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Do the toothpick test before taking them out of the oven. Once they are golden, this is the sign that they are ready, we have to let them cool properly, at least two hours, before proceeding with the preparation.
Now let’s cut them as to form a cap, and in the hole created, add a teaspoon of Nutella and put the cap back on. Proceed with the preparation of the frosting with Philadelphia and Nutella.
To prepare the chocolate Frosting, take a bowl and the electric whisk. Pour into the bowl the cream cheese you have chosen, or Philadelphia as in my case, and add the sugar. Start working at the minimum speed, then add a few tablespoons of Nutella.
It should result in a homogeneous and creamy mixture. Now take the piping bag and a spoon, fill it with the Nutella and cream cheese frosting, and decorate your Cupcakes creating spirals as you see in the photos.
Once we have decorated all 12 Cupcakes, we can place the chocolate of our choice in the center. In my case, I opted for Ferrero Rocher because we found them in the Advent Calendar. Now you just have to prepare your stomach and take some nice dessert plates to serve our Nutella Desserts. Storage of Cupcakes with Nutella
and Ferrero Rocher
You can store the Nutella Desserts in a cake carrier for a few days. Of course, I recommend not decorating them immediately with the chocolate frosting. The cream should be prepared at the moment otherwise it risks melting and losing its delicious creamy consistency. You can then vary the chocolate, perhaps Mon Chéri, Baci Perugina, or a Duplo square, a Raffaello, or a Mini Coconut Bounty. Choose your favorite chocolate.
