EASY AND QUICK CHRISTMAS FRESH PASTA

An easy recipe to make fresh pasta shaped like Christmas characters.

Christmas is coming, and a joyful way to spend time with our children is to cook with them: when I say “kids, let’s make CHRISTMAS COOKIES,” they immediately light up:

Getting covered in flour and playing with the shapes is so much fun for them, so I thought: why not make shapes for pasta too?

Said and done, I mixed flour and water, and we had fun making shapes with the cutters.

EASY AND QUICK CHRISTMAS FRESH PASTA
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very economical
  • Rest time: 30 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 30 Minutes
  • Portions: 2
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Christmas

Ingredients

  • 14 oz remilled durum wheat semolina
  • 1 cup cup water

Tools

For a good recipe, I suggest these ingredients (ADV)

  • Cookie Cutters christmas
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry Board

Steps

  • On a pastry board, pour the flour and make a well, slowly pour the water and knead with your hands until a smooth and homogeneous ball is formed.

  • Choose the cookie cutters you like best: roll out the dough to a height of about half an inch and cut with the cutters.

Continue until the dough is finished.

  • While preparing the condiment, let the pasta rest with a cloth on top.

I seasoned it with the SIMPLE OLIVE AND ONION SAUCE but you can season it as you like.

    Preparation of the condiment
  • Put the water to boil: once boiling, salt and pour.

They will be ready when they float (about 5/6 minutes)

    Boiling water
  • Once cooked, drain the water and season.
