GRILLED MORTADELLA

Grilled Mortadella is an incredibly easy and flavorful main dish that you can prepare in no time, perfect if you’re in a rush and don’t know what to cook. You can use small mortadella slices or buy a large slice from the deli counter at the supermarket and cut it into wedges. Grilled mortadella is also perfect as an appetizer cut into pieces or for a buffet or to accompany a tasty and delicious aperitif. You can then serve grilled mortadella with salad, arugula, or even with fries or grilled vegetables. I recommend checking out other recipes with mortadella. Grilled Mortadella
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 4
  • Cooking methods: Grill
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 4 slices mortadella
  • to taste balsamic vinegar glaze (optional)

Steps

  • Let’s start preparing the grilled mortadella. If you’re using small mortadella, cut slices half a centimeter thick (about 1/5 inch). If you had a large slice cut from the deli counter at the supermarket, you’ll cut it into wedges after cooking.

  • Heat the grill or grill pan. When it’s hot, place the mortadella slices on it and cook for 2/3 minutes on each side, turning them once well-defined grill marks have formed.

  • When the mortadella is ready, serve it with some salad and dress with balsamic vinegar glaze.

  • You can then cut it into wedges or pieces.

How to store grilled mortadella

Store it in the refrigerator for 2 days, then just reheat it for a few minutes.
