- 4 Tropea red onions
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
How to prepare Baked Tropea Onion
Start preparing the baked Tropea onion by cleaning the onions, removing the bottom part with the roots, peeling them, and removing any dry parts. Then cut them in half lengthwise.
Place some extra virgin olive oil in a baking dish and arrange the onions, adding some salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 30 minutes. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the onion.
When the Tropea onion is cooked, take it out of the oven and serve it hot.
