How to prepare squid in an air fryer

  • Let’s start preparing the squid in an air fryer. Clean the squid by removing the innards and the transparent cartilage found in the squid’s back—just pull it out. With a knife, remove the beak and eyes. You can ask your fishmonger to do this if you’re not very experienced. Then wash them well under running water.

  • Place a tray on the air fryer basket and put the squid in, then add a few puffs of extra virgin olive oil.

  • Cook in the air fryer at 356°F for 10 minutes, turning the squid halfway through cooking.

  • Once cooked, place the squid on a plate, adjust the salt, and add a splash of oil. Serve them hot.
