Stews with squids, an easy fish main course to make in a short time, is a widespread dish with some variations depending on the region where it is prepared, very often part of restaurant menus, sometimes accompanied by polenta or slices of rustic bread. To prepare stewed squid rings, you can use ripe tomatoes or cherry tomatoes instead of tomato pulp. Of course, with this recipe, you can prepare squid in sauce if you purchase squid instead of squids. You can also add some chili pepper to the stews if you love spicy flavors; these squid rings with tomato, olives, and capers can also be used to dress pasta, thus making a squid sauce. Now let’s see how to cook stewed squid rings and if you try them, let me know. Barbara

How to make Stews with Squids
Let’s start preparing the Stews with Squids, pour a clove of garlic and some extra virgin olive oil into a pan, let it flavor for a few minutes,
then add the Taggiasca olives,
the capers
and the tomato pulp, let it cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to absorb the flavors.
Remove the garlic clove and add the squid rings,
sprinkle with parsley
and a pinch of salt, cook for 15 minutes so that the sauce can also thicken. The cooking time might vary depending on the size of the squid rings.
Serve the stews with squids with polenta or slices of toasted bread.
How to store stews with squids
Store the stewed rings in the refrigerator for 2 days or for a few months in the freezer.
