How to prepare the Ricotta and Orange Cake in Air Fryer
We start preparing the Ricotta and Orange Cake, pour the eggs into the bowl,
the sugar
and mix with an electric whisk until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
Then add the ricotta
and the grated zest of an orange, incorporate with the electric whisk,
then add the sifted baking powder,
and the flour, always sifted,
squeeze the orange juice,
and incorporate it into the dough.
Butter a cake tin and flour it, pour the mixture and level it,
cook in the air fryer at 300°F for 50 minutes; before removing it from the oven, do the toothpick test because the time may vary based on the type of air fryer and its wattage, the bottom will be lighter but should be cooked. If you like, you can remove it from the mold and let it cook in the air fryer basket without the mold for another ten minutes so that even the bottom can become golden.
When cooked, let it cool and then add some powdered sugar.
Alternatively, you can bake it in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 60 minutes.
