Oven-baked gratinated champignon mushrooms or in an air fryer are a simple side dish that pairs perfectly with any main course. Champignon mushrooms are also known as button mushrooms. They are usually prepared sautéed, but I encourage you to try them this way, and if you don’t want to turn on the oven, you can try them in the air fryer; they will be delicious and ready in 10 minutes. Champignon mushrooms are available year-round and are very economical compared to, for example, porcini mushrooms. Champignon mushrooms are also excellent when eaten raw; try my recipe for RAW MUSHROOM SALAD champignon mushroom carpaccio. Now let’s see how to make gratinated champignon mushrooms, and if you try them, let me know. Barbara

How to prepare oven-baked gratinated champignon mushrooms
Let’s start preparing the gratinated champignon mushrooms. Clean the mushrooms, remove the stem end, and rinse them quickly under water without soaking them, or clean them with a cloth. Once clean, slice them.
Place the breadcrumbs in a dish, add the grated cheese, chopped parsley, and mix well. Now oil the mushroom slices using a brush, or you can pour the oil into a bowl and dip the mushrooms, whichever you prefer. Then coat each slice in the breadcrumbs and arrange them in the baking dish.
If you have leftover breadcrumbs, sprinkle it over the mushrooms in the dish, add salt, and bake in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for 10 minutes, turn the mushrooms, and bake for another 5 minutes, ensuring perfect browning on both sides.
You can cook the gratinated champignon mushrooms in the air fryer at 356°F for 10 minutes.
Once the Champignon mushrooms are ready, season with salt and serve them hot.
