How to Prepare Caprese-Style Bread Baskets
Let’s start preparing the Caprese-Style Bread Baskets by rolling each slice of white bread with a rolling pin.
From each corner of the slice, make a diagonal cut as you see in the picture,
Fold 3 corners inward, tucking the 4th corner inside the first.
Continue this way until you complete the slice and form the basket.
Pour the extra virgin olive oil into a bowl,
add crushed garlic,
add parsley and mix well,
brush the baskets with the flavored oil, bake in a preheated static oven at 355°F for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the mozzarella into small pieces and place them in a bowl,
also cut the cherry tomatoes into small pieces
and add them to the mozzarella,
add salt,
add extra virgin olive oil,
and some torn basil leaves,
mix and set aside.
When the baskets are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool, then fill them with the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella,
and decorate with an arugula leaf,
the baskets are ready to be served.
How to Store Caprese-Style Bread Baskets
I recommend consuming them the same day, otherwise the bread will become soft.
