How to prepare the apple and yogurt cake air fryer
Let’s start preparing the apple and yogurt cake in the air fryer. Peel the apples, remove the core,
cut one apple into pieces
and one apple into slices.
Pour the eggs and sugar into a bowl and mix with an electric mixer,
add the melted butter,
the Greek yogurt and mix with the mixer until you get a cream.
Sift the baking powder,
the flour and incorporate with the electric mixer to obtain a creamy and thick mixture,
grate the lemon zest,
and add the apple pieces, mix with a spatula or a spoon to combine the mixture well with the apples.
Butter and flour a cake pan and pour in the mixture, level well
and arrange the apple slices in an orderly fashion. I placed them in a circle, but you can arrange them as you prefer. Sprinkle the apples with brown sugar or granulated sugar.
Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 300°F for 50 minutes. Before removing, do the toothpick test and, if necessary, continue cooking for a few more minutes.
Once cooked, remove the cake pan from the basket, let it cool, and only when it is cold, remove the cake from the pan and dust with powdered sugar.
