Puff pastry dove is a really easy and quick Easter appetizer that everyone will love. The puff pastry dove rolls can be placed at the center of the Easter table so that everyone can take a roll; it’s also perfect as an appetizer or in a buffet. Besides this version with ham and cheese, you can prepare the savory puff pastry dove in other ways using the PUFF PASTRY ROLLS WITH PEPPERS, the PUFF PASTRY ROLLS WITH SPECK AND SCAMORZA, the PUFF PASTRY ROLLS WITH MORTADELLA AND PISTACHIOS, or the SALMON AND PHILADELPHIA ROLLS. You will only need a disposable dove-shaped mold. Now let’s see how to make the puff pastry dove, and if you try it, let me know. Barbara

How to prepare the puff pastry dove
Let’s start preparing the puff pastry dove, grate the mozzarella with a wide hole grater,
unroll the puff pastry and add the slices of cooked ham
and also add the grated mozzarella.
Place the longer side in front of you and roll it not too tightly, so the puff pastry will have room to puff and cook perfectly during baking.
Cut the roll into 8 parts,
arrange the rolls in the dove mold,
brush them with the beaten egg
and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 25/30 minutes, check that the rolls are cooked and golden, serve hot or at room temperature.
