Ingredients to prepare the Christmas puff pastry crown
- 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
- 7 oz ricotta
- 1 tablespoon triple tomato paste
- 6 slices cooked ham
- to taste oregano
How to prepare the Christmas puff pastry crown
Let’s start preparing the Christmas puff pastry crown; pour the ricotta into a bowl,
the triple paste and mix well.
Unroll the rectangular puff pastry, add the ricotta with tomato,
spread it well over the entire puff pastry,
sprinkle with plenty of oregano
and arrange the slices of cooked ham.
Place the longest side in front of you and roll up.
Let the roll rest in the fridge for 30 minutes, then take it out and cut it in half lengthwise.
Bring the two parts together, and with the cut side up, where you can see the layers, twist the two parts
and join them to form a ring.
Line a round baking pan with parchment paper and place the crown in the center, sprinkle the filling with oregano. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 30 minutes.
When the Christmas crown is ready, remove it from the oven and place it on a serving dish. If you like, decorate it with rosemary sprigs and cut it into slices.
