Lasagna rolls with ham and mushrooms are a baked main course perfect for any occasion, even the most special ones, easy to make and rich in flavor. The rolls with ready-made sheets are very simple to prepare as the fresh pasta does not need pre-cooking, but once filled, you can cook them directly in the oven. Rolled lasagnas are also called in some parts of Italy ‘swallow nests’, and I have prepared them in many ways because I find them very versatile, and I really like white lasagna. If you make a few extra portions, you can freeze them, and you can use either fresh champignon mushrooms that you will then cook following my recipe for sautéed mushrooms, or you can use canned ones that are ready for pizza. You can also cook the lasagna in an air fryer by following the cooking instructions of the LASAGNA IN AIR FRYER recipe. Now let’s see how to make the lasagna rolls with ham and mushrooms, and if you try them, let me know. Barbara

Let’s start preparing the lasagna rolls with ham and mushrooms. If you use fresh champignon mushrooms, clean them, slice them, and cook them as indicated in the recipe. Then prepare the béchamel by melting the butter
and when it’s completely melted, add all the flour at once. Stir with a whisk,
add the milk little by little and incorporate it with the whisk to avoid lumps.
Add some salt
and nutmeg,
put it on the heat and bring to a gentle boil, when it starts to boil you will see it thicken, lower the heat and leave it for a few minutes, then remove and let cool.
Spread a little béchamel on the bottom of the pan.
Take a lasagna sheet and add some béchamel that you will spread over the entire sheet.
add cooked ham
and on one side make a strip with the previously cooked champignon mushrooms,
add cheese cubes
and roll up,
cut each roll into 4 parts
as you prepare and cut them, arrange them on the tray.
Then cover the rolls with béchamel
and cheese cubes
Bake in a pre-heated static oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
How to store lasagna rolls with ham and mushrooms
