Ingredients to prepare the Mushroom and speck savory pie
- 1 roll rectangular puff pastry
- 3.5 oz speck slices (thin)
- as needed sautéed mushrooms
- 3.5 oz mozzarella for pizza
- as needed sesame seeds
How to prepare the Mushroom and speck savory pie
Let’s start preparing the Mushroom and speck savory pie. Unroll the rectangular puff pastry and place it on a work surface. Keep the shorter side in front of you. With a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the shorter side of the puff pastry to obtain 5 strips about 2 inches wide.
On each strip, lay the speck slices,
cubes of mozzarella for pizza,
and the sautéed mushrooms, previously drained of oil.
Fold the strip over itself and press the edge lightly with your hands to seal it and prevent the filling from coming out.
Now, line the baking dish with parchment paper and roll the first strip of puff pastry onto itself to form a spiral. Place it in the center of the dish with the closure facing down. Now wrap the other strips around it to complete the dish.
Brush the surface with some water
and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preheat the static oven to 356°F (180°C), and when it’s hot, insert the savory pie and bake it for 20 minutes until it is golden and dry. If necessary, continue baking for a few more minutes.
