Ingredients for preparing the Dove-shaped chocolate cake
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 6 oz dark chocolate
- 2/3 oz sugar sprinkles

Procedure for preparing the Dove-shaped chocolate cake
Let’s start preparing the Dove-shaped chocolate cake, cut the butter into pieces and melt it in the microwave or bain-marie and let it cool before using. Pour the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar and work with electric whisks until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
Then add the milk and the melted and now cold butter and incorporate. Add the baking powder and sifted flour, first mix with a spatula and then with electric whisks to get a smooth, creamy, and lump-free mixture. Pour in the chocolate chips and incorporate them. Turn on the static oven at 356 F°.
Pour the mixture into the dove mold, level it, and when the oven is hot, bake. Cook for 40-45 minutes, the cooking time may change depending on the type of oven, so before taking it out of the oven, do the toothpick test and if necessary, cook further. When the dove cake is ready, take it out and let it cool.
In the meantime, prepare the chocolate ganache, finely chop the dark chocolate and set aside. Pour the cream into a saucepan and place it on the stove, as soon as it starts boiling, turn off and pour in the dark chocolate, stirring until it melts completely and you get a nice smooth mixture.
With a spatula or spoon, pour the chocolate ganache over the dove cake and spread it over the entire surface, add the sugar sprinkles and let it rest in a cool place for a few hours or put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, so the chocolate will solidify.
When the chocolate is solid, you can cut the Dove-shaped chocolate cake and serve it.
