How to make Meatballs with Cooked Ham
Let’s start preparing the meatballs with cooked ham, finely chop the onion,
then pour it into a pot, add the extra virgin olive oil
and the peeled tomatoes.
With a fork, mash the peeled tomatoes, add a pinch of salt
and the water, place on the stove and cook over low heat with the lid on while preparing the meatballs.
Finely chop or blend the cooked ham,
Place the ground beef in a bowl, a splash of extra virgin olive oil,
the egg,
a pinch of salt,
the finely chopped cooked ham,
the parsley,
and the breadcrumbs, I added 3 tablespoons.
Mix all the ingredients well to have a homogeneous mixture.
Take a portion of the meat, form meatballs the size of an apricot, rolling them between your hands, don’t make them too large, so you have even cooking and well-cooked inside
and then roll them in flour.
Now that you have the meatballs ready, put them in a pot with the tomato sauce,
and cook over low heat with the lid on for 20 minutes, turning them often. If the sauce is too thick, add half a glass of water.
Serve the Meatballs with Cooked Ham with some bread.
How to store the Meatballs with Cooked Ham
