Puff pastry croissants with apples are super easy to make and ready in just a few minutes. These croissants are made with round puff pastry and have a creamy apple filling. You can prepare them in just a few minutes and enjoy them even warm. They are very easy and accessible to everyone as they are made with ready-made puff pastry that can be bought at the supermarket. I recommend also trying the PUFF PASTRY CROISSANTS WITH NUTELLA and if you’re looking for a savory version, I recommend the SAVORY PUFF PASTRY CROISSANTS and the Savory Puff Pastry Croissants with Salami. Procedure for making Puff Pastry Croissants with Apples
Let’s start preparing the Puff Pastry Croissants with Apples. Peel the apples, cut them in half, remove the core, and then cut them into small pieces.
Place the apples in a small saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, some ground cinnamon, and a few tablespoons of water.
Cook the apples over heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become soft.
Transfer the apples to a blender or an immersion blender cup. Blend for a few seconds until you get a cream.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it first into 4 parts and then each section into 4 parts, thus obtaining 16 pieces.
Add a tablespoon of apple cream on the widest part of each section.
Roll up the puff pastry, but do not tighten it too much, shape it into a croissant and place it on the parchment paper with the wider edge on the bottom.
Continue with the other croissants. Preheat the static oven to 356°F (180°C) and place the croissants on the oven tray with parchment paper. Pour the egg yolk into a bowl, beat it with a fork, then brush the croissants and sprinkle them with sugar, creating a delicious caramelized crust during baking.
Once the oven is hot, bake the Puff Pastry Croissants with Apples and cook for about 20 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on the oven. They should be golden and nicely puffed up. Once cooked, remove them and let them cool slightly before consuming.
I recommend consuming them on the same day to maintain the puff pastry’s crispness.
