Steps for Cauliflower Cutlets

To prepare the cauliflower cutlets, start by cleaning the cauliflower, removing the outer leaves and washing it under running water.
Dry it and then cut it into slices about 0.6 inches thick.

The central slices will be perfect, and don’t worry if the first slices break, you can still bread them even if they fall apart, or use them for something else in the kitchen.

Place the slices in a pot and cook them for about 5 minutes with water and salt.

Meanwhile, prepare the breading: in a container, pour the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, chopped parsley, and garlic, adjust the salt, and mix.

In another container, beat the eggs.

  • Drain the cauliflower, let it cool slightly, then gently dip the slices first in the beaten eggs on both sides and then in the breadcrumbs, making sure it adheres well. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and lightly oiled, drizzle the slices with a little more oil, and then proceed with cooking.

  • Bake the cauliflower cutlets in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for about 25 minutes, turning the slices halfway through. The time varies based on the power of your oven and the thickness of the cutlets; they are ready when they are golden brown on both sides.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)

  • Can I use raw cauliflower slices?

Yes, of course, just cut them a little thinner, about 0.4 inches, and increase the cooking time in the oven or air fryer; they will be even crispier!

  • Can I dip them in flour?

I skipped this step, but if you prefer, you can dip them first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
