- 11 oz Pasta
- 3.5 oz smoked bacon
- 3.5 oz Peas
- 1.8 oz onion
- to taste Salt
- to taste Extra virgin olive oil
- 3.4 fl oz vegetable broth (or water)
How to prepare Pasta with peas and bacon
Start preparing the Pasta with peas and bacon by finely chopping the onion,
put it in a large pan and add extra virgin olive oil
and add frozen or fresh peas as you prefer.
Dice the smoked bacon,
and add it to the pan along with the peas,
add a pinch of salt and the vegetable broth; if you don’t have it, you can add water. Cook the peas for about 15 minutes. Pour some water into a pot and lightly salt it; when it boils, add the pasta and cook it al dente according to the instructions on the package.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and keep some cooking water aside, which will help to mix the pasta well. Pour the pasta over the prepared sauce,
mix well and add a few tablespoons of the pasta cooking water to mix well,
