- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp Butter (cold from fridge)
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
- to taste Hazelnut spread
How to prepare Shortcrust Pastry and Chocolate Cookies
Let’s start preparing the Shortcrust pastry and chocolate cookies by pouring the flour and powdered sugar into a bowl,
and the cold butter from the fridge, cut into pieces,
work with your hands until you get a sandy mixture.
Add the egg
and knead until you get the classic shortcrust pastry, compact and shiny,
transfer it between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out with a rolling pin until you get a rectangle.
Spread the Nutella over the entire shortcrust pastry,
and roll it up, close with the parchment paper and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
After resting, take the roll and cut it into slices,
sprinkle with some brown or granulated sugar and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 30 minutes,
When it’s cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool completely, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
