  • 0.63 cup flour
  • 0.42 cup water
  • 1.41 tsp lemon zest (grated)
  • 0.71 oz raisins (soaked in water and dried)
  • 0.85 cup peanut oil (for frying)

Steps

  • Wash the pumpkin, remove seeds and fibers, and cut into small cubes. In a bowl, add sugar, flour, and grated lemon zest to the pumpkin. Stir with a spoon and add the water.

  • Add the raisins previously soaked in water and patted dry. Heat the oil in a pan to the right temperature (test with a wooden stick, if it bubbles, it’s ready). Take a spoonful of batter and drop it into the oil; once they float and color, turn them over and after a few minutes, remove them. Place them on paper towels and serve hot as is or sprinkled with powdered sugar.
