Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 4 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
Preparation of Cinnamon Shortcrust Pastry
In a large bowl, work the softened butter cut into small pieces with the sugar using a whisk, until you get a cream. Add the egg and mix again with the whisk to incorporate it.
Add the flour and cinnamon and knead until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Form a dough ball, wrap it in some plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour before using your cinnamon shortcrust pastry to make cookies, tarts, or desserts.
