Mediterranean Croque Monsieur

The Mediterranean croque monsieur is a tasty sandwich that is quick and easy to prepare.

Based on the croque monsieur, the classic French baked sandwich richly filled with ham, melting cheese, and béchamel, this sandwich uses ingredients from the Mediterranean diet like pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella to create an irresistible burst of flavors and is perfect for a quick meal, appetizer, or to accompany an aperitif on hot summer days. It is cooked in a skillet.
