Air fryer confit cherry tomatoes are a delicious dish, quick and easy to make.
This preparation aims to wilt the tomatoes without losing flavor, resulting in caramelized and juicy tomatoes, perfect for seasoning pasta dishes, enriching salads, spreading on bruschetta and crostini, or using as a side dish. The classic preparation is done in the oven at low temperature for about a couple of hours, while air fryer cooking, following the procedure below, allows cooking in just twenty minutes, with significant time and energy savings without sacrificing their irresistible taste!

Ingredients
- 9 oz cherry tomatoes
- oregano
- brown sugar
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of air fryer confit cherry tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes well and dry them with a clean cloth.
Cut them in half, gather them in a bowl and season with the extra virgin olive oil, a bit of oregano, a few tablespoons of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.Mix thoroughly and arrange the cherry tomatoes in the air fryer basket with the cut side facing up.
Sprinkle with a bit more brown sugar and cook at 320°F for the first ten minutes, then increase the temperature to 356°F and cook for five minutes, and finally at 392°F for the last five minutes.
Your air fryer confit cherry tomatoes are ready to be enjoyed.
Notes
They keep well sealed in an airtight container, in the fridge, for a few days.
