Baked Pasta with Ham and Peas

Baked pasta with ham and peas is a tasty main course easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 11 oz short pasta
  • 1 cup peas
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • 5.3 oz mozzarella
  • 7 oz béchamel sauce
  • Half onion
  • Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Baked Pasta with Ham and Peas

  • Bring a pot full of water to the boil for cooking the pasta.
    Meanwhile, chop the onion and dice the cooked ham.
    Cut the mozzarella into pieces.

  • In a large pan or wok, heat some extra virgin olive oil.
    Add the chopped onion, let it turn golden, and add the cooked ham.
    Let them flavor for a few minutes, then add the peas and let them cook for five to ten minutes (depending on whether they are fresh or frozen).

  • Cook the pasta al dente, drain it, and add it to the pan with the sauce along with two-thirds of the mozzarella and the béchamel sauce, and mix thoroughly.
    Transfer everything to a large baking dish and sprinkle the surface with the remaining mozzarella and grated cheese.
    Bake in a preheated convection oven at 338°F for fifteen minutes.
    Remove from the oven and serve your baked pasta with ham and peas hot.
