White Baked Pasta

White baked pasta is a simple and elegant main course, easy to make and very tasty.

Creamy, irresistible, and stringy, it is prepared with simple ingredients in an easy way, and it’s perfect for Sunday lunch or a holiday, without tomato, without eggs, with a golden and crunchy surface and a soft and creamy heart.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz short pasta
  • 1 cup béchamel sauce
  • 7 oz mozzarella
  • 3.5 oz scamorza (or provola)
  • 3.5 oz grana (grated)
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of White Baked Pasta

  • Drain the mozzarella from its preservation liquid and cut it into pieces.
    Cut the scamorza into cubes.
    Cook the pasta al dente in plenty of salted boiling water.

  • Drain it and pour it into a bowl with the béchamel, half of the grated grana, the mozzarella pieces, and the scamorza cubes. Mix thoroughly.
    Grease a large baking dish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and pour the seasoned pasta into it, leveling it.

  • Sprinkle with the remaining grana.
    Bake your white baked pasta in static mode at 356°F for the first twenty minutes, then switch to grill mode for another five minutes or so, until a golden crust forms.
    Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve.
